My first partnership ended very ugly. After two years of 80-100 hour work weeks, it blew up in my face and I was left with absolutely nothing. I was heart broken. I put my whole soul into this company and now what? Well sometimes, like in dating, you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find that princess. I didn't know it at the time, but a princess was coming my way...

The first time I saw her she was leading a crowd of attentive dancers. I was intimidated. I was the guy off footloose with two left feet and she was cinderella. I finally mustered up the courage to ask her to dance. Right away I could tell she was a professional. I proposed right there on the spot..."You know dance and I know business. A perfect match." And it was. We soon opened our own dance hall AND we got married ten months later. It was a dynamic partnership and winning business. It ran like a well oiled machine--only took two hours a week to run! Well, four years and two kids later, we outgrew the business. I was ready for my next adventure.

Soon after we sold the company, my cousin came up with a brilliant idea! He explained: "I've spent the past seven years in sales and you've spent the last seven running businesses. Why don't we partner up?!" Another match made in heaven. It took my first business 3 years to make $300,000 and we did it in 3 months.

In business you need two things: operations and sales. One without the other is worthless. After running many businesses, I've learned to play to my strengths. My strength is operations: creating a plan, organizing the structure, and hiring the team to execute. If your strength is sales, let's partner up. As they say, "Would you rather have 100% of a grape or 50% of a watermelon?"

Now, before we get started, let me take you to dinner! Like any good relationship, we gotta get to know each other. Come to my live class (it’s on me) and we’ll go through everything you need to know to get started...

“Working with Addison has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. As a person he has extremely high integrity and an incredible work ethic. He is very talented in understanding the small steps and systems needed while clearly seeing the 'big picture'. Our partnership has helped me become more proactive in business and less reactive, thinking and acting more like a big business."
